The IT Competence Center is implementing the project “Information and Communication Technology Competence Center for Digitalization,” ID No. 2.2.1.3.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/006.
The project aims to ensure access to funding for the digital transformation of businesses by the end of 2026, in order to develop products, services, and technologies in the field of information and communication technologies and thereby promote the digital transformation of businesses, including the introduction of modern automation, robotization, and work control tools in manufacturing facilities, while attracting at least EUR 0.7 million in private co-financing for innovation implementation.
Currently, 11 research projects are being implemented under the project, with a total grant amount of EUR 2,835,559.91. The private co-financing provided by the research project implementers amounts to EUR 1,762,662.00.
During the period, regular meetings of scientific field leaders and committee sessions were held, during which the progress of the implemented research projects and the individually achieved results were reviewed and approved.
SIA “ZZ Dats” Research Project No. 1.3 “Development of a digital solution for multi-level management of artificial intelligence-driven software supply chains (SLSA) to ensure the security and effective operation of open systems” was launched in January 2025.
- In the second half of 2025, work will continue on the activity “Development of machine learning models and algorithms to be used in the solution.”
The goal of the research project is to develop a management solution for software supply chains (SLSA) that ensures the secure and efficient operation of open systems, in the form of an open, artificial intelligence, and big data-driven platform capable of performing a comprehensive, centralized review of registries, databases, libraries, and other supplementary sources, and which, using specially developed machine learning models in conjunction with data mining and graph analysis algorithms, be able to provide multi-level code dependency analysis for open systems and offer automated, data-driven recommendations to ensure the secure, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of open systems.
Research project implementation period: January 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026.
Total cost of the research project: EUR 390,099.90
Recovery Fund co-financing: EUR 254,167.47
The project is co-financed by the Recovery Fund under the Operational Program “Latvia’s Recovery and Resilience Facility Plan 2.2. "Digital Transformation and Innovation of Enterprises," 2.2.1.3.i. "Support for the Introduction of New Products and Services in Business," within the framework of the "Implementation Rules."
