The research project is being implemented as part of the IT Competence Center project “Information and Communication Technology Competence Center for Digitalization,” ID No. 2.2.1.3.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/006
On February 13, 2025, the Central Finance and Contracting Agency approved the six sectoral and cross-sectoral research projects submitted under the IT Competence Center’s project “Information and Communication Technology Competence Center for Digitalization” (Contract No. 2.2.1.3.i.0/1/24/A/CFLA/006), which are being implemented within the research area “Business Process Analysis Technologies.”
The project aims to ensure access to funding for the digital transformation of businesses by the end of 2026, in order to develop products, services, and technologies in the field of information and communication technologies and thereby promote the digital transformation of businesses, including the implementation of modern automation, robotization, and work control tools in manufacturing facilities, while attracting at least EUR 0.7 million in private co-financing for innovation implementation.
SIA “ZZ Dats” research project “Development of a digital solution for multi-level management of software supply chains (SLSA) driven by artificial intelligence to ensure the security and effective operation of open systems” was launched in January 2025.
The goal of the research project is to develop a software supply chain (SLSA) management solution applicable to the secure and efficient operation of open systems in the form of an open, artificial intelligence, and big data-driven platform capable of performing comprehensive centralized review of registries, databases, libraries, and other supplementary sources, and which, using specially developed machine learning models in conjunction with data mining and graph analysis algorithms, be able to provide multi-level code dependency analysis for open systems and deliver automated, data-driven recommendations to ensure the secure, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of open systems.
Currently, the research project has initiated and is continuing industrial research activities titled “Definition of Solution Requirements and Architecture Development” and “Development of Machine Learning Models and Algorithms to Be Used in the Solution.”
Research project implementation period: January 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026.
Total cost of the research project – EUR 390,099.90
Recovery Fund co-financing – EUR 254,167.47
The project is co-financed by the Recovery Fund under the Operational Program “Latvia’s Recovery and Resilience Facility Plan 2.2. "Digital Transformation and Innovation of Enterprises," Investment 2.2.1.3.i. "Support for the Introduction of New Products and Services in Business," Implementation Rules.”
