Wendoapp ready for product management in foreign markets

Companies in the HoReCa sector place nearly 4,000 orders per month using “Wendoapp.” The app’s functionality and features are currently being enhanced, with plans to use it not only for ordering goods in stores, hotels, cafés, restaurants, sports clubs, and other venues, but also for organising price surveys and procurement.

The platform allows catering businesses, for example, to conveniently manage their product catalogue and place orders both from the general assortment and by adding the suppliers relevant to them, reveals Raivis Feldmanis, Export Product Manager at Dativa, noting that “Wendoapp” partners place orders at 400 locations in Latvia, as well as in Estonia.

“Through the app, we quickly and easily order various goods from more than 50 of our suppliers, and 20 of our ‘Lāči’ stores also order our own products from the bakery – bread, confectionery, chocolate products, and croutons. We were among the first to start using ‘Wendoapp,’ and we quickly realised that the app significantly saves our employees’ time and structures internal processes. It also eliminates human error – there’s no chance of mixing up order codes, quantities, and the like – and there’s no need to suddenly interrupt a conversation when a customer enters the store, since an order started in the app can be completed later. ‘Wendoapp’ is an excellent alternative to placing orders by phone. On the recipient’s side, the order can be processed at a convenient time. Moreover, the order doesn’t need to be compiled physically – everything happens automatically in the system, and in the end you get a table. It’s a real plus that we can review the history of placed orders at any moment,” says Diāna Dzalbe, Retail Manager at SIA “Lāči,” listing the advantages of the “Wendoapp” application.

One of the first companies to start using “Wendoapp” is SIA “Mantinga Latvia,” which offers stores, petrol stations, cafés, restaurants, and hotels both ready-made products, such as sandwiches, and frozen goods – bread products, pastries, and more. “We receive around 50 orders a day, and it’s great that each customer can customise their desired assortment and quantity in the system. Whereas previously our operator listened to each order by phone or physically compiled orders sent by email, ‘Wendoapp’ immediately eased this manual work – the system automates the process itself, compiling the ordered goods and their quantities and sending it to us as a ready-made table. All that’s left is to pick the products and deliver them to the specified address,” says Rolands Lovniks, Key Account Sales Manager at SIA “Mantinga Latvia.” In his view, “Wendoapp” is convenient and easy to use, has low costs, and is also useful for smaller companies that don’t have their own ordering system developed.

“When surveying our partners, we concluded that the ‘Wendoapp’ application saves as much as two to four working days per month that a specialist at a company previously devoted to physically placing product orders. Companies also appreciate the opportunity to reduce not only the time spent on orders but also the number of errors caused by the human factor,” says Edžus Žeiris, Director of Dativa.

The “Wendoapp” product ordering app is used most extensively by fuel retailer “Kool Latvija,” bakery and stores “Lāči,” restaurant chain “Vairāk Saules,” lunch restaurant “Delicio,” COFYZ cafés, “Čili Pizza” pizzerias, the “MyFitness” sports club chain, and others.

In a short time, “Wendoapp” has changed the way restaurants, cafés, and other caterers order products – suppliers and orders are combined into one easy-to-use app. This product ordering app for Android devices is available on Google Play, while the iOS app will soon also be available on the App Store platform.
