Five interns have joined the team of Latvian IT company Dativa – aspiring programmers and a cybersecurity specialist. After just their first week, the new specialists say the experience at the company not only provides an opportunity to gain new knowledge, but also to take part in real project development and get familiar with the daily life of an IT company.
The students emphasize that one of the biggest positive surprises has been the company’s team and working environment. According to the interns, colleagues are supportive, friendly, and willing to help in daily tasks, while mentor guidance helps them adapt more quickly to a professional setting.

It immediately makes the workplace atmosphere calmer and less stressful. About the work itself – I knew it would be challenging, and it is, but the mentor and other colleagues are very supportive. At first, I was a bit afraid to work independently or make changes in the code because the system is huge and it felt like changing one thing could break something else. But now I’m starting to find my way around and work more confidently, so that fear has decreased a bit. The coffee and fruit are very good.”
