Local government representatives—accountants, human resources and administrative specialists, specialists responsible for municipal real estate management met in September at seminars organized by the IT company SIA “ZZ Dats” in Liepāja and Cēsis, where they examined in depth issues related to human resources management, document management, accounting, and municipal real estate management, familiarized themselves with new features of the software, shared municipal experiences, and discussed the future development of the software with representatives of SIA “ZZ Dats.”
“To promote the improvement of our software applications and the exchange of user experiences, we have revived the tradition from previous years—organizing meetings for municipal specialists at regional seminars,” said Edžus Žeiris, director of SIA “ZZ Dats,” pleased with the interest shown by local government representatives. The need for such seminars is also confirmed by feedback from local government representatives, who noted that it was valuable to share mutual experiences with other municipalities, to learn about various aggregated data and current statistics on application usage, and to gain suggestions from discussions on how to improve their work and use existing applications even more effectively, notes Edžus Žeiris.
At this year’s first regional seminar in Liepāja, specialists from the municipalities of Talsi, South Kurzeme, Ventspils, Tukums, Kuldīga, Salaspils, Ādaži, Rēzekne, Dobele, and the city of Liepāja gathered.
Meanwhile, the regional seminar in Cēsis was attended by representatives from the municipalities of Tukums, Bauska, Olaine, Ķekava, Limbaži, Aizkraukle, Alūksne, Madona, Cēsis, Valka, Gulbene, Ropaži, Sigulda, Smiltene, Jēkabpils, Ludza, Augšdaugava, Balvi, and Preiļi counties, as well as the municipalities of Daugavpils and Riga.
Following the regional seminars organized by SIA “ZZ Dats,” municipalities are more actively addressing issues of digitization and digitalization—implementing automated processes and promoting the integration of applications. The aggregated statistics on local government digitization and digitalization presented at the seminar foster healthy competition among municipalities. Alla Seļakova, project manager for the GVEDIS accounting software at SIA “ZZ Dats,” notes: “The main takeaway and greatest value of the seminar is the opportunity to look at other municipalities, hear about their experiences, compare achievements, and draw inspiration from the experiences of other municipalities! For us, the system developers, these meetings also provided an opportunity to hear valuable user experience stories, gain insights into our solutions, and gather ideas for future development.”
“It was a real pleasure to meet the users of our solutions in person and hear their opinions to promote the development of our applications and support users’ business processes. At the seminar, we took an approach of bringing together specialists from various municipal departments into a single discussion on achieving common municipal goals,” says Virdžīnija Andersone, Business Manager at SIA “ZZ Dats.”
“This was a great opportunity to meet with our clients and application users in person, assess the completeness and functionality of the application, gather ideas, and listen to their needs. Municipal employees had a unique opportunity to exchange experiences with their colleagues from other municipalities. I highly appreciate our clients’ enthusiasm for streamlining municipal processes, digitizing document workflows, fostering collaboration, and reaching new heights.
“After the seminar, we are all energized with positive energy and a desire to work even more productively, dynamically, and creatively,” said Diāna Zavadska, project manager of the KADRI personnel accounting program at SIA “ZZ Dats.”
