Interns are given time at work not only for programming but also for learning. Mentors may provide materials that help better understand various topics related to programming. This is especially helpful for interns who have had minimal programming experience so far. Here, you have the option to work both in-person and remotely. The company assists with the development of your final project. You can also include the code you develop during the internship in your final project.
It is important that companies offer internship opportunities. This allows you to try working in the industry, gain real insight into how projects are developed, and deepen your programming knowledge.

I was already familiar with the company from visiting it during a shadow day. That day left a good impression of the company on me. However, I ultimately chose it because I knew I would gain new knowledge there, could combine it with my studies if I continued after the internship, and could complete some of my coursework through the company’s projects.
It helped a lot that the team I’m on is very responsive and supportive. Without all of this, I think it would have been much harder for me to get familiar with my internship responsibilities and successfully carry them out.
If there weren’t companies that support students so much, I think my daily life would be much more stressful, trying to figure out how to balance my future studies and manage my time.

Since I started my internship, I’d say I’ve increased my knowledge tenfold. The company provides assistance with the development of my thesis, which was important to me this semester.
It’s much easier to work on the thesis as part of the internship than to do it alongside all the other internship tasks. Also, getting support and consulting with more experienced colleagues is a huge bonus.
