Traceability System for Tobacco Products
The tobacco product traceability system ensures the monitoring of tobacco products throughout their entire lifecycle—from manufacturing to retail. It enables government agencies to track the origin and movement of products, thereby ensuring control over the legal market.
Functionality
The system ensures the identification and traceability of tobacco products at every stage of the supply chain. It is based on a unified European Union regulation and ensures that each product is assigned a unique identifier that is used throughout the supply chain. In Latvia, this function is provided by LVRTC as the state-delegated ID issuer.
